The Process and The Cost...

1. Write your book.
This is something you do so the cost would be just your time. I would work in a word program that is compatible with digital printing techniques. Microsoft Word is a good choice.

2. Edit your book.
You can do this or have someone close to you do this. I can suggest people who do this.

3. Proofread your book.
I can suggest this service also.

4. Develop a marketing plan for your book.
I can help with this. In fact, I would begin a discussion on this topic while you are planning and writing your book.

5. Format your book.
tFormat your book to a standard page layout with numbers, table of contents, etc. Insert photos if necessary. This can be a little more complicated because of chapter openings, use of proper fonts and other design issues. This is something that I can do if you need it.
Cost varies but start $1.00 a page.
Illustrations, photos, etc. would be extra. I would just need to see what you want or need and give you a price.

6. Create a cover.
It should be pleasant, interesting and conveys the information necessary to be successful. The cover and back cover need to include ISBN numbers, bar codes, and all other information necessary if you are going to sell your book in retail locations.
A simple cover digitally produced including front, back and spine starts at $250.
Custom paintings, illustrations or heavy photo manipulation would increase the cost.

7. Print your book.
We work with Snowfall Press and MiLu Books. Snowfall Press prints your book and MiLu Books offer a complete processing service. They will process your customer's credit card, order the book and ship it to them. You do not need to store inventory or keep any accounting files. Everything is seamless.
